The 313 Project held its February “Motion to Makeover” on Saturday, February 25. The event, part of The 313 Project’s monthly service series, took place at D-Town Urban Farms, one of the largest urban farms in Detroit. Seventeen volunteers processed plant beds in two of the farm’s indoor hoop houses and assembled three compost piles in the outdoor compost area.
Warm thanks to the Detroit Black Community Food Security Group and the D-Town Farms manager Kwamena Mensah (“Kmensah”) for guiding the volunteers and showing The 313 Project around the farm.
